Welcome to Salina’s 150th anniversary celebration! Founded in 1858, Salina, KS received its charter in 1859. We’re a vibrant, progressive community in north-central Kansas imbued with an entrepreneurial spirit, much imagination and a history of civic activity. Throughout the spring and summer, there will be lots of activities from workshops to historic re-enactors to civic historical events. The Celebration concludes with a street dance and parade in conjunction with the Smoky Hill Museum Street Fair on Saturday, September 27th.
Join us for a family-oriented reflection on Salina and all that has gone on here over the last 150 years – and more! We celebrate our history from the earliest people to today, with a healthy look at what’s to come!
